Welcome to our web site!
If you haven’t looked at it for a while you’ll see that there
have been some big changes in our lives since we had our cow herd
dispersal. We miss seeing
all of our great customers at our sales, and hope that you’ll stop by
our Spearfish residence for a visit so that we can catch up with your
lives since we last saw you.
We are still staying involved with the cattle
business through our semen sales business and some limited consulting.
There are many herds that are carrying on our genetics and we
went to two of those sales this spring, the Jindra sale in NE and the
Weiseler sale in SD. Both
had awesome offerings at very reasonable prices.
We strongly believe in the new marker (DNA) technology and think
that it will gradually replace some of the older, and more readily
influenced by man, ways of herd improvement.

We’ve also added something else!
Doug is now working with ReMax of the Black Hills selling farms,
ranches, and investment properties.
Since going through the sale of our ranch was so hard, Doug felt
that having someone who had “been there and done that” would be very
helpful to others who are considering selling their farm or ranch or
buying something bigger. We
did a like exchange and it worked out fairly well for us.
We also have done some investment property purchasing in the
Black Hills and think that there is absolutely no better investment
today than a piece of the Black Hills, whether it’s just for an
investment or for your future retirement spot.
